• Muffin Sorting 1 through 12
• Supply muffin liners
• Label them 1 through 12
• Have children count appropriate number of objects going into the cup

SCIENCE

• Before cutting apples, have children predict what is inside
• The seeds sit in a star shape

• Observe oxidation with cut apples
• When exposed to air apples will brown
• Squeeze lemon on a second piece and discuss the difference

• Label muffin liners with given letters
• Supply small toys or pictures and have your child sort by initial consonant sounds

• Letter Muffin Toss
• Child tosses button into tin marked with various letters
• Child should identify the letter the button landed on
• If able, they can name an object that begins with that letter

ART

• Muffin Cup Paper Flowers
• Supply pipe cleaners and colorful muffin liners
• Thread the pipe cleaner through the center of the multiple colorful muffin liners
• Create paper flowers

DRAMATIC PLAY

• Provide cupcake tins, liners, large pom poms, large styrofoam balls
• Let children pretend to be bakers
