Chocolate Pudding

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES:

VOCABULARY

SCIENCE

• Cornstarch & Water: Solid or Liquid
• In a bowl, have the children mix 1/2 cup of cornstarch and about a 1/4 cup of water (pour into bowl slowly)
• Let the children squeeze the mixture in their hands; it is solid
• When they let go, it is liquid

LANGUAGE ARTS

This activity also develops FINE and GROSS MOTOR SKILLS
• Chocolate Pudding Painting
• Let children experiment:
• On a clean surface (or vinyl placemat) place a scoop of cooled homemade chocolate pudding (or you can use instant pudding)
• Encourage the children to make letters, words, their names
• Give phonic riddles:
• "What letter does PUDDING or CHOCOLATE start with?"
• Introduce the phonic "CH"
  
  
• Have the children make a pudding picture
• Let them dictate stories about their creation
