VOCABULARY

MATH

• Seriation
• Cut out various size shamrocks from green construction paper
• Have your child put these in order from smallest to largest and vice versa

SCIENCE

• Shamrock means little clover; it is actually white clover
• There are websites that sell these seeds
• Observe clover and compare to other plants
• Count the leaves, compare colors and shapes

LANGUAGE ARTS

• Shamrock Memory Game
• Cut out 20 shamrocks from green construction paper
• Use stickers of various pictures, letters, words or designs
• Paste two identical stickers onto two different shamrocks
• Repeat for 10 sets
• You should have 10 matching sets
• Turn them sticker side down
• Children take turns flipping over 2 shamrocks one at a time
• If they get a matching set, they take the pair and go again
• If they do not match, turn the cards face down and the next player tries to make a pair

• Green Collage Shamrock
• Provide large shamrock shaped paper and a variety of green collage materials

• Glitter Printing - Shamrock Cookie Cutters
• Pour a thin layer of glue into a paper plate
• Dip cookie cutter in glue
• Sprinkle with green glitter
• Pour off excess into a bowl
