There are many opportunities during cooking to introduce vocabulary. Here are a list of words to review specific to this recipe:

  • More Or Less
  • Group the lemons into various amounts
  • Ask your child "Which has More?"
  • Ask your child "Which has less?"

  • Fractions
  • Cut lemon into:
  • 2 pieces = halves
  • 4 pieces = quarters

  • Cut lemons in cross-sections
  • Have your child count the sections

SCIENCE

  • Observe citrus fruits
  • What do they have that are the same

  • Discuss taste buds and how diffrerent parts of the tongue helps us taste different things - sweet vs. sour
