• Ask your child to count:

• Have your child identify:
• Which piece is bigger?
• Which is smaller?
• Which is longer?
• Which is shorter?

• Which is thinner/narrower?

SCIENCE

• Yeast are living fungi which release gases
• View yeast under a microscope

• Dissolve
• Supply 5 cups of water
• Have the children predict which items will dissolve and which will not before adding:
• Sugar to one of the water cups
• Salt to another cup
• Baby powder to another cup
• Pepper to another cup
• Jello or Kool-Aid powder to the final cup

• Ask your child to shape the dough into specific letters
• Ask your child to spell their name with the dough

• Phonics
• Help your child sound out words; make those letters with the dough:
• EXAMPLE:Tell your child to "Make the letter that makes the 'bah' sound in the word bear"
