• Pumpkin Width - Estimate Circumference
• Cut ribbon to wrap around a pumpkin
• Have children cut ribbon they think will fit around the pumpkin
• Try wrapping each ribbon around the pumpkin
• Sort ribbons by:
• Too short
• Too long
• Just right!

• Pumpkin Seed Count
• Cut out 10 pumpkin shapes from orange construction paper
• Number them 1 to 10
• Have children count out appropriate number of pumpkin seeds and match them to the appropriate number on each "pumpkin" shape

• Pumpkin Seed Counting to 100: Groups of 10
• Count out 10 groups of 10 pumpkin seeds to equal 100
• 10, 20, 30, 40.....90, 100

ART

• Pumpkin Seed Mosaic
• PARENTS SHOULD PREPARE THE SEEDS BEFORE THIS ACTIVITY - DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD NEAR THE RUBBING ALCOHOL
• Rinse and dry pumpkin seeds
• In a disposable bowl, soak clean seeds in a solution of Rubbing Alcohol and food coloring (1:1 ratio - alcohol/food coloring)
• Dry on paper towels
• Let your child create a mosaic using the seeds


• Pumpkin Mosiac
• Decorate pumpkin (you can use mini pumpkins)

• Pumpkin Play Dough
• Add pumpkin spice to play dough
• Let your child create with the scented playdough
